ALTUGLAS™ R-Life Resins

ALTUGLAS™ R-Life is a range of sustainable solutions made from a chemical recycling process. Recently developed, acrylic resins are produced with a minimum of 50 percent of recycled Methyl Methacrylate (rMMA) monomer.

ALTUGLAS™ R-Life Resins provide comparable performance to a virgin material:

• Optical quality (high light-transmittance)
• Highest clarity, colorless: best solution for thick wall applications
• High weathering and UV resistance (no need of coating)
• Low weight (50% lighter than glass)

ALTUGLAS™ R-Life CN Cast Sheets

Trinseo recently developed a sustainable cast sheet solution using an advanced chemical recycling process. Through this process a minimum of 90 percent rMMA monomer is combined with virgin MMA.

ALTUGLAS™ R-Life recycled cast sheets provide comparable performance to a virgin material:

• Optical quality (high light-transmittance)
• Low weight (50% lighter than glass)
• High weathering and UV resistance (no need for coating)
• Wide range of colors and finishing (glossy, satin)
• Easy processability (drilling, milling, bonding, thermoformability)

ALTUGLAS™ R-Life EX is an extruded product produced with a minimum of 75 percent of reused PMMA scraps mixed with virgin PMMA resin.

ALTUGLAS™ R-Life extruded sheets provide comparable performance with sheets made with virgin resins:

• Optical quality (high light-transmittance)
• Low weight (50% lighter than glass)
• High weathering and UV resistance (no need of coating)
• Good tolerance thicknesses
